Snow Fun
I'm such a cold weenie, but evidently, my son's an even BIGGER weenie about the cold! He's been asking & asking to go play. So today we layered up over our p.j.s and headed outside. This was one time when a steep driveway actually comes in handy. Eric next door loaned us a trash can lid & another toddler to add to our fun. I had to force my "conservative" four year old to try it at least twice, and he quickly retreated indoors where it was warm. Nadia and Cianne outlasted the big boy. Here are some pics of our icy driveway fun!

Happy Anniversary to Us
Today's our 8th anniversary! Not to gag anyone, but I shouldn't let the day go by without saying how thankful I am for my husband. Neither of us or our marriage are perfect, but God is active in our lives and our relationship, truly making our marriage a blessing.
We went to Kansas City this past weekend to celebrate and had a great time visiting our newlywed friends Paul & Emily. We visited Kansas City Gift Mart there and ordered a few new product lines (soon to be added to my webstore). And now to top it off, we're iced in together at home for the day!
Here's our latest picture together (from Freckle Face Photography):

Spiritual Warfare
It's been a while since I've posted, which is why it took my so long to start blogging. I was afraid I'd get into this and not keep it up like I should or want to. But I won't give up yet!
I'm having a hard time letting go of the holiday season. Christmas was such a good time for our family this year. I realize we're over two weeks into January, but I'm trying to ride that relaxed- no-responsibilities-everyone's-on-vacation-eat-what-you-want train as long as possible. I'm really enjoying my kids and still trying to make the most of our family time. That's probably something I legitimately should hold onto year round.
On that note, I thought I'd share one of the cute/profound/scary things Corben said at the dinner table not too long ago. He was kind of rolling around in his seat and stopped all of a sudden. He put his hand on chest and said, "My heart's beating really fast. I bet Jesus is fighting bad guys in there!" I hope he always keeps Jesus in his heart!

Holiday Recovery
Wow! Christmas was so much fun! It was by far my busiest year for My Baby Boutique. I worked right up through Christmas Eve and then enjoyed several days with my family and no sewing.
I haven't posted in a while because all my computer time has been devoted to recreating shopmybaby.com. I'm really excited about the new design and layout. I'll let everyone know when the new site is up and running. You'll notice new products right off the bat, as well as a gift registry and e-gift certificate options. I can't wait!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebrating the Prince of Peace. Thanks to God for His precious Son and also for the new year, a chance for new beginnings and an opportunity for improvement in all areas of life!
